I love this track. I do not particularly like DOOM. I mean, I don’t hate it, but I’m not really into blood and guts and gore. Plus, I bought DOOM Eternal like a year and go and still haven’t opened it, which kinda speaks for itself.
But when it comes to metal, Mick Gordon (songwriter) gets it. And “it” is groove.
Most of the metal I listen to is much proggier, but DOOM is my reminder that you can still be heavy and groovy with simple riffs.
Andromida is a band that I got into a few years ago that takes HEAVY inspiration from DOOM. Check out these two videos from his YouTube channel.
